Cancer Eclipse

This week we get a Full Moon to play with (yay!) and it’s also an eclipse. During this time, here at the beginning of 2020 – it’s rather important to clear our heads and get clear in our hearts.

Have you taken your energetic temperature yet? Where are you in your self doubt, self talk, and self acceptance? How have you been emotionally?

Cancer is a water sign – known for strong emotions, protection and a love for your roots, your home. Have you been giving up too much focus and putting it on other people instead of yourself? This eclipse will help change some of that. While we will still have focus on others and be of service – you may (hopefully) find that you are taking more time to yourself and balancing your availability more.

Eclipses are known for shaking shit up so to speak. They are dynamic occurrences that happen in the cosmos. Eclipses are dramatic but not rare and we will have more to come this year. There are both lunar eclipses and solar eclipses.

According to Cafe Astrology, eclipses will occur the following dates this year:

  • Friday, January 10: Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Cancer
  • Friday, June 5: Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius
  • Sunday, June 21: Annular Solar Eclipse in Cancer
  • Sunday, July 5: Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn
  • Monday, November 30: Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Gemini
  • Monday, December 14: Total Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius

Cancer-Capricorn eclipse will effect everyone differently based on their personal charts. I have heard that the partial solar eclipse in Cancer back in July 2018 was a biggie because it was a first lunation of a new series (not an astrologist – so I can’t dumb this down very well) but try to think back to what was going on in your life around that time and consider the major players, conflicts, and the location(s) you may have been because it will provide insights into what this eclipse series may bring to you

We are also experiencing the 54th Gene Key right now. This is the key with the Shadow of Greed, the Gift of Aspiration, and the Siddhi of Ascension. As told in the Gene Keys book – the 54th shadow is one of the great pressures that drives humanity. When I think of Greed – I don’t always see someone with malintent – but one that is consumed with being more, doing more, getting more as any cost. As humans – we are taught to be the best, do the best, have the best, and push limits.

If we aren’t careful we can become self-destructive through the unconscious efforts of greed. With every shadow we have a repressive and a reactive state. Those in the repressive side of this shadow may find that they give up when thigns get a little hard. They somehow tell themselves that they aren’t enough, don’t deserve it, and tend to stop on the path before they even really get started.

Those who are experiencing the reactive side are almost obsessive in a sense with obtaining what it is that they are after – at all costs. To them there is no gain without pain and casualties happen. Their hearts tend to gloss over and the relationships they embark upon tend to dissipate and not work out because they can’t see things as they really are. They value a materialistic life over one with meaningful relationships and experiences.

Now, if you have been following me for a while, then you have read or heard me say that no shadow is bad or wrong. We all encompass the shadows of life and we grow into our gifts and sometimes we even teeter totter between both the shadow side and gift side as time goes on. When we transform into the Gift of Aspiration – we tend to see life as an experience full of lessons and growth. We can see things from a higher level and realize that there is more to life than what he possess and competition. We undergo a genetic transformation and our frequencies change – what we once thought was the only way (being the best, having the best, etc) doesn’t really play a factor anymore because anyone who truly wants to experience life can have their own versions of the life they want without outdoing another – that what another person has achieved or gained has zero bearing on the experience we are here to embark upon individually.

Let’s use the energies of all that is swirling around us for the best. Let’s use this lunar eclipse to align us with the higher dimensions around us. Let’s dig deep and release what is being called to leave – even if it hurts and we aren’t sure we are ready. We are moving into a new cycle on January 22nd with the 41st transit and we just experienced the January 1st New Year kick off as well – it’s time to release what isn’t serving us and make space for new and exciting opportunities that we can barely imagine or comprehend possible.

Let’s reset our emotional compass as we send away all the emotional baggage from the previous 6-12 months and open up. The boundaries around our hearts need to be reset or released altogether as we allow ourselves to explore our emotions from a different perspective. We no longer need to hide our emotions, run away from them or allow them to control us. We can embrace the power of Cancer to open our hearts to the universe, accept the unconditional love that exists, and respond instead of react to every little thing that happens around us or “to us”. Don’t allow others to control your emotions – don’t just allow yourself to be sucked into arguments and misunderstandings. Take the time you need to understand why you are feeling the way you are about a situation, a person, or the thoughts you are having around something specific.

Bow out of a disagreement or argument before it gets too far – excuse yourself and feel the feels privately so that IF (big IF here) you feel that you want to re-engage in a conversation that may not end amicably – you already know how you align and what your message is. No one has to agree with you or understand you – but you can say your piece and move on knowing that you stayed true to you and allow the lesson to unfold and grow from it.

There is a lot going on in the cosmos – always will be. If you are looking for some insights into astrology and the magic behind it check out the Galactic Mystic here. She is a great inspiration to me and a beautiful soul with so much to share with the world.

Let’s not let the eclipse overshadow the Full Moon though. Use the moon to do your releasing, forgiveness, and practice some gratitude. Light a candle, play some light music that lifts you up, grab a journal or some scrap paper and start focusing on you. You are what matters most on your journey here on Earth.

Shining through the shadows ~
